This Privacy Policy explains how Hyperterminal (a private hobby project by Mihael Bosnjak, based in Switzerland) handles data. We are committed to data minimization and transparency. We largely operate under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP) and the GDPR where applicable.

Usage Data (Analytics):
We use Vercel Analytics to understand website traffic. This service is privacy-friendly:

  • It does not use cookies for tracking individuals across devices.
  • It does not store personal data like IP addresses.
  • Data is aggregated and anonymized.

3. Cookies

We use minimal cookies:

  • Essential Cookies: Used by Supabase to maintain your login session (only for admins).
  • No Tracking Cookies: We do not use third-party tracking cookies, ad networks, or marketing pixels.

4. Hosting & Infrastructure

Our services are hosted on:

  • Vercel Inc. (USA/EU) - Frontend hosting and analytics (hosted in EU region).
  • Supabase (USA/Global) - Database and authentication (hosted in AWS eu-west-1, Ireland).

Data transmission to these providers is safeguarded by standard industry security measures (TLS/SSL).
